Know Your Quarry

As a novice deer hunter, your first priority should be to learn as much as you can about the deer. Once you become familiar with the deer, it is much simpler to predict where and what he will be doing throughout the season and even at various times of the day. Since there are many different kinds of deer and it would be hard to include all of the hunting advice in one article, we will concentrate on hunting whitetail deer rather than mule deer in this post because it is the most sought-after game animal in the world.

Preferred Habitat

Deer are very versatile creatures that can thrive in a wide variety of habitats, including tiny city woodlots, thick forest, and every environment in between. The one constant in a deer's chosen environment is its fondness of edges. Edges can be highly evident, like where a field ends and a forest begins, or they can be less obvious, as where a steep hillside ends and a bench or flat ground begins.

Where do they eat

Deer are very weary so when there eating its when there the most vulnerable. so they prefer to eat in open alfalfa fields or soya fields and for cover they run into the corn fields to hide its homefree for deer. Deer like to eat and drink early in the morning and later on in the evening and rest during afternoon.
